DGI Associates is Seeking self-motivated remote Associates responsible for conducting annual verifications and updates to ensure information and services are accurately listed within a specified service directory. Key duties include researching new and existing organizations, programs, and services; applying approved taxonomy; and translating detailed program information according to established guidelines and standards.

Responsibilities and Specific Duties:

  • Assists organization representatives in completing an annual verification by email, phone, or mail to ensure the organization’s programs and services are accurately listed. Understands services to be able to ask questions about and confirm primary services provided.
  • Translates information about programs and services into clear and plain language, using guidance from an established inclusion policy and style guide. Applies authorized taxonomy, Inform USA standards, and specific organization standards to the resource content.
  • Researches and gathers detailed information about new and existing organizations, programs, and services. Research is done online and by working with organization representatives.
  • Remains attentive to processes and changes in processes, provides feedback including suggestions for improvements, communicates when having a challenge with an organization update, and actively reports status of tasks and projects.

Desired Knowledge, Skills, and Attributes:

  • Maintains or works towards obtaining Inform USA Community Resource Specialist – Database Curator (CRS-DC) certification.
  • Knowledge of community resources and the human service delivery system.
  • Experience with one or more of the following I&R software platforms: ReferNet, iCarol, or Visionlink.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively and efficiently with organizations to obtain updates, using a strong understanding of I&R service directories to guide conversations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets.
  • Work hours are flexible, but Associates who make phone calls will need to be able to work within standard working hours.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills utilizing varying modes of communication, including phone, email, and instant messaging.
  • Analytical, highly organized, and attentive to detail.
  • Ability to work independently with multiple priorities and as a cooperative member of a team.
  • Ability to maintain a home office with stable internet connection for this remote position.
