DGI’s Associates possess a deep understanding of database construction for curating health and human services data and are well-versed in the various software used to support information and referral work. Our team is made up of people who are working or have worked in the information and referral industry for many years. This growing group of professionals works diligently to create consistent and accurate data for information and referral organizations across the United States.
Our leadership
DGI’s leaders all have worked directly in the information referral field during their career in various capacities. They have distinguished themselves by being recognized by Inform USA as CRS-DC of the year awardees or nominees and participating in regional and national workgroups focused on service directory curation standards and best practices. They all have held their CRS-DC certifications for multiple years, and many also hold the CRS and Inform USA Coaching certifications.
Darcy Van Orden, President and Founder, has been a business owner for over 45 years, establishing DGI Associates well into her career in 2007. Inspired by the words of A.G. Gaston – “Find a need and fill it. Successful businesses are founded on the needs of people.” and the words of Robert H. Schuller – “The secret to success is find a need and fill it; find a hurt and heal it; find a problem and solve it.”
DGI Associates was created to assist in the great work that I&R organizations do to serve in connecting people in need with social services.
